Soyal AR-721U Proximity Access Control Reader

The Soyal AR-721U can be used in many different applications. One of its main uses is as an external reader connected to an internal Controller/Reader such as the AR-727H to provide Entry and Exit control of a door with anti-passback. This configuration can be used in a standalone format or as part of a larger network connected to a Master Controller AR-716E. If the AR-721U is being used as an Entry reader with exit control being exercised by an Exit button, it can be used with a remotely located Controller/Reader AR-727H acting as a Master Controller.

Although the AR-721U has operated successfully on cable runs in excess of 30metres, if difficulties are experienced, it is recommended that a Wiegand repeater AR-WGREP is fitted at 10metre intervals in the cable run. However, for all long cable runs, it is safer to use an RS485 link instead of Wiegand. In such cases, the Controllers AR-727HB-RAY or AR-716E should be used with the RS485 Readers AR-737H (which looks identical to the AR-737U) or the versatile AR-737HB-RAY, which is also available in a surface or flush mounting stainless steel format.
